In 2022, Bretty left a full-time job — and 15-year career — in digital storytelling to start his own business. Slow Blink, which builds from a place of conversation to change the way you look at storytelling, is centered around “story anchors,” a narrative framework that Bretty has applied to organizations in publishing, agriculture, and even tech. Combining his backgrounds in craft, linguistics, and psychology, Bretty helps businesses slow down at the right time and in the right places to move more swiftly in the ever-changing landscape of digital media. The brand was designed by Tandem NYC.
